The Singapore government has introduced targeted financial incentives to accelerate the adoption of its GST InvoiceNow e-invoicing system, with grants ranging from SGD 1,000 to SGD 25,000 depending on company size. Accordingly, the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), a Singapore government agency, has published the eligibility criteria for each grant tier.
Eligibility Criteria for GST InvoiceNow Transition Grants
The Singapore government has structured its financial incentives across three tiers, each targeting a different business size and integration need. The first grant of SGD 1,000 is available to businesses with total annual supplies of up to SGD 4 million. To qualify, a business must be GST-registered in Singapore and must not have been using an IRSP solution or an InvoiceNow connection in the three months before onboarding.
The business must also either commit to a minimum 12-month subscription with an accredited IRSP solution or integrate its ERP system with an accredited Access Point after February 26, 2026. In addition, the business must submit invoice data to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) after activating GST InvoiceNow and before its mandate deadline. The grant is available from July 1, 2026, until March 31, 2030, or until funds are exhausted, whichever comes first.
The second grant of SGD 5,000 targets larger businesses with annual supplies exceeding SGD 4 million, offsetting the cost of integrating their enterprise systems with the InvoiceNow e-invoicing network. To qualify, a business must operate its own ERP system, such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or a custom-built platform, and integrate it with InvoiceNow through an accredited Access Point.
The implementation project must begin after February 26, 2026, and be completed within 12 months, with full compliance achieved by March 31, 2028. This includes the requirement to submit invoice data to IRAS after GST InvoiceNow is activated. The grant period runs from July 1, 2026, to March 31, 2028, or until funds are exhausted. Businesses must submit an Expression of Interest before applying formally once applications open.
The third and largest grant of SGD 25,000 is designed for large enterprises with extensive transaction networks, aiming to drive widespread adoption of the InvoiceNow e-invoicing system. Eligible companies must have more than SGD 4 million in annual turnover and a broad trading network of at least 200 suppliers or 200 business customers, based on transactions over the past 36 months, including related parties where applicable.
The grant can be used to offset the cost of integrating custom ERP systems with InvoiceNow via an IMDA-accredited Access Point Provider. It is available from July 1, 2026, to March 31, 2030, or until funds are exhausted.
Conclusion
Eligible businesses should assess whether to apply for these incentives to reduce their transition costs. Applicants may also consult the IMDA's InvoiceNow Grant 2026 FAQs for further details or reach out via the InvoiceNow contact form.
